Greetings!

The Inkscape community is proud to announce the stable bug-fix release of Inkscape version 0.48.5. This is the fifth bug fix release for 0.48 and it contains over 60 bug fixes to improve stability and functionality on all platforms (over 190 for OS X since our last available package!). Check out the release notes for a summary of some of the fixes and improvements, the milestone page for the full list of closed bug reports, or just jump right to download your package for Windows, Linux or Mac OS X!

We will be focusing our efforts on 0.91 (previously 0.49) and are not currently planning any further bug-fix releases in the 0.48 series at this time. Stay tuned for more news!

Hey,

I was working on something in Inkscape (I hadn't saved, I tend to do that) when all of a sudden, it crashed (memory error, likely), and the dialog that normally told me it was going to save to somewhere couldn't pop up in time before Windows said it stopped responding and closed it. Does this mean that I lost the unsaved work completely, since the dialog didn't say where it was and closed? Or is it hidden and I can't find it because Inkscape never told me where it hid the file?

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit.

I'm completely new to Inkscape and need some help. I figured out how to create a heart, but I want to fill it with text. I can fill a circle or square by using the flow into shape tool, but it doesn't work on the heart I created. Can someone help?? Thanks!

1- Create a text box and type your text
2- Place your heart shape over the text box
3- Select both -> right click -> 'set clip'

Hope it helps ;)
